Music Together® Mixed-Age classes are...
Weekly, 45-minute classes include songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement, and instrument play. Classes are appropriate for children from birth to kindergarten along with their parents/caregivers. These activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences--developmentally appropriate for children and easy for parents and caregivers--regardless of their own musical ability. Two CDs and a songbook are included!
Music Together® Rhythm Kids classes are...NEW in 2019!!
Weekly, 45-minute classes include songs, rhythmic rhymes, movement, and instrument play. Classes are appropriate for children from 4 to 6 with or without their caregivers. 1 CD and a songbook are included, as well as digital access to music and activities supporting the class. Students explore rhythm by playing with music from around the world. Activities are designed especially for preschoolers/early elementary students and the discovery continues at home with the interactive Rhythm Kids videos, easily viewable on our app.
As they drum, sing, and move to new rhythms, they naturally build their musicality to help them prepare for formal music lessons.
Drums will be provided for the class each week, but if you’d like your child to have a drum to play with at home (and then continue to use in Level 2 classes!), please ask your teacher about the special discounts on djembe drums that are available to Music Together families.

“All children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate with confidence in the music of our culture, provided that their early environment supports such learning. Music Together brings families together by providing a rich musical environment in the classroom and facilitating family participation in spontaneous musical activity at home within the context of daily life. Families get so much out of these classes,” Laurie explains.
