The Hastings Arts Center is owned and operated by husband and wife, Travis and Sarah Lockwood. The "center," formerly Guardian Angels Catholic Church, features a performance and event venue, an art gallery, and a music school--Blessings Academy of Arts and Music. We have had some amazing performers on our stage and look forward to many more. Please keep checking back for further updates!!
Blessings Academy of Arts and Music is dedicated to creating an educational arts experience for all ages, levels and backgrounds. There are currently 15 music teachers giving music instruction and approximately 250 students and families are involved with music lessons and/or art classes. Blessings teachers and their students have the opportunity to give performances in our wonderful performance space. Piano students even get to play on our Steinway grand piano in performances!
Since opening in 2015, the center's art gallery has featured local artists from the Twin Cities and surrounding areas and we are looking forward to the number of exhibits ahead. If YOU are an artist that would like to be added to our "artist call list" please contact us!
The arts center has become a great place for our local community as well as a welcoming place for visitors just passing through or people who are new in town. We could not have created the center without the wonderful support of people who appreciate what we do. Our main goal is to continue to enrich the lives of all who enter our doors. We hope to transform more than just teach, and we hope to inspire more than just entertain. Please click through the site and learn about all we have to offer you through the Hastings Arts Center.
